Gaia (the Earth)

We think we are at the top of the food chain and that nothing on this planet will predate on us. But if we think on a larger scale, a broader perspective, hunter and prey relationships are natural. That is how nature effects control on the population of different species living on the planet. This mechanism stops the limitless proliferation of any particular genus, resulting in a kind of balance and biodiversity that Earth seems to gravitate towards.

But humans are a growing monoculture of massive proportions on this planet. That in itself might not be such a problem but our displacement of other species, depletion of natural resources and disgusting waste habits all affect the health and survival of other species. This goes against the diversity that the planet wants.

The Earth has been able to maintain its own homeostasis over the 4.5 billion years it has existed. It is perfectly possible that it can cope with the humans (350,000 years old) and their destabilizing effect on the ecology. Could our present pandemic (2020) be a form of reaction of the planet to our “hooligan” behaviour? And consider the recent spate of growing viral presences like SARs, Ebola, Swine flu. etc. that have appeared.

Bela Mondo is about seeing this planet as a self-contained organism that has the capability to act autonomously to keep itself “healthy” and reject or cull any organism living on it that threatens its vitality.

Earth’s Immune System

This section is not about human being’s immunity. It is an observation that Earth has its own complex “immune system”. It is a system that has kept up the biodiversity of the planet for a much, much longer period than the existence of us humans. Its capacity, scope and “intelligence” is way beyond our ability to conceptualise.

For example, it has a way of generating a viral infection that targets specific species with just the right amount of intensity. It also affects different geographic locations and different races in diverse ways. It may even subtly manipulate the way we think - just look at its ability to shut down our taste buds.

In the same way that our immune response can activate many different cells for defence, so the Earth can generate different viruses. Our assumption that a vaccination will solve the pandemic is very limited thinking. Because what if the planet’s own “immune system” produce more than one virus. Nothing says that we will only see one at a time - there could be limitless viruses in one go. The Earth response could easily cause extinction of the human species. If it deem that is necessary.

Besides viruses, Gaia’s natural immunity can summon earthquakes, volcanic actions, tsunamis, climatic violence, geomagnetic disruption and more. By targeting these at any species, especially where their population density is high the species can be greatly reduced or wiped out.

Action

So what the f*** can we do?? The proposal is that we, the human race start a massive project to heal our relationship with our planet. We need to understand that we cannot control the Gaia organism as it is much larger than us. And it is much more “intelligent” in ways that we cannot even start to understand.

The same way as when a child start to realise that its “wants” are not the only priority there is. And it starts to grow up as a mature adult and become responsive to the others that makes up its community. In the same way, we humans start to become aware and give respect to all the inhabitant of this planet. And become willing to share Earth’s resources and also take ownership of our own waste.

Every decision and action that we take needs to be reflected against the whole of the planet and if it benefits all of it. Only if it passes this test will it be undertaken.

This project will be at a global level involving millions of our best minds. We start to gain a knowing of what makes us a beneficial organism for the planet and follow that knowledge. The scale of operation makes it mega-industrial in its scope. Yet unlike industry, its aim is not to make money. It is to lift us from being bugs that Earth needs to eliminate to a responsible species that is useful for the planet to have.
